Why do we choose to eat salads?

Surely because it is summer and we are tempted to eat fresh vegetables, maybe we want to lose weight or we are just attracted by the bright colors that identify each one.
Vegetables are nutritionally rich in fibers, minerals, antioxidants, vitamins all the nutrients we need so is not necessary to consume pills of vitamins because nature give to us! The caloric value is very low therefore we can exaggerate a bit in the portion size.

Start by assembling your plate with green leaves, they give volume to your meal. Follow colorful vegetables that have carotene such as carrots, tomatoes, purple cabbage, purple onions or choose the ones you like the most. As for animal protein add the one you like most, I suggest you choose between lean beef, chicken meat, fish, egg or low fat cheese.

You vegan or do not have the desire to eat meat, nothing happens I advise you to use legumes that are rich in protein and some cereal like rice, in this way you can consume a good protein intake of vegetable origin.
If you sprinkle the salad with a little lemon juice you will favor the absorption of non-heme iron found in vegetables and legumes.

You can enrich these salads with a little olive oil and salt.
