Humus (English)

I called it like that because it's not the real húmus recipe because the real has sesame paste, but as I do not have and I did not  buy it because I do not make húmus to often, this time I opted not to use it, but I didn't want to omit this information because maybe you like , you prepare it more often or it is easy for you to get it and you could add it to this recipe to give it that characteristic taste.

Amount Ingredient
3.5oz Chickpeas
3 tbsp Olive 
1 Lemon (juice)
1/4 teaspoon Cumin
1 Garlic clove
Necessary quantity Salt (optional)
Necessary quantity Pepper

  1. Soak the chickpeas for 8 hours 
  2. Drain, cook until tender, remove na save the water 
  3. Place all the ingredients into a blender and crush them until smooth. If it is necessary add some water that will depend if you want it denser or smoothy 
  4. Place in a bowl and serve with baked, boiled or raw vegetables.

  • In this case I use baked zucchinis, eggplants and carrots 
  • Also I use raw celery it's my favorite
  • If you want to add other vegetable just place it with the chickpeas into the blender
